To fade from history

I have known great men

That receive no mention in the history books.

When I die, or perhaps my son,

Their memory will live no longer.

Just as those who died long before me,

My very flesh and blood,

Are unknown to me.

These men who gave me my DNA

Are total strangers.

How sad that my father will fade too one day,

As we all will.

But perhaps it doesn't matter

To those who frolic and bask

In the Great Beyond.

  1. Me parece que captas muy bien lo importante y lo pasajero de nuestra vida... es como el tejido de muchos pasajes que hacen la existencia de la humanidad.
