For the last year there has been a sort of stalemate in WTO talks, as India insisted that it has a right to provide certain guarantees to farmers and the hungry (a position I personally agree with, but which apparently India was pushing solo), while the US invoked WTO rules that would seem to prohibit India's actions.
Anyway, it appears that that standoff has been temporarilly defused, if not resolved. Here is an insightful, constructive, and hopeful article from Oxfam about how this stalemate could be made into an opportunity to improve nutrition and development in the US, India, and elsewhere.
