A debate on how rising oil prices will affect the rural landscape

Here is an article from Stuart Staniford arguing that the coming scarcity of oil will actually favor larger, industrialized farms. Here is a retort from Sharon Astyk nuancing the issue a bit more, and pointing out a number of logical flaws in Staniford's argument.
