Update on Piedad Cordoba

Some months ago I wrote (and fretted) about the punishment of Colombian Senator Piedad Cordoba for alleged ties to the FARC. Shortly thereafter, I linked to an article about the legal problems in the case against Cordoba. Namely, alleged emails stored on a computer seized after a Colombian army raid into Ecuadorian territory served as the main piece of evidence linking her and others to the FARC. But this computer was invalid as evidence for a number of reasons.

Anyway, it seems that Colombia's Supreme Court has ruled just this: that the computer is not valid evidence. So perhaps Cordoba will be exonerated.
