Agroecology in Latin America

There is a new article by Miguel Altieri from the Journal of Peasant Studies that's making a big stir lately. It touches on an increasingly-acknowledged theme; that agroecological approaches to agriculture have the potential to be much more productive (especially on a per-acre basis) than the industrialized agriculture practiced in much of the world.
