Apparently the World Health Organization has an explicit policy that it will only enter into formal relations with NGOs if they are not fronts for commercial entities. I think that is a great policy, and admirable in this day of uncritical trust in public-private partnerships.
Here is an article about the difficulty the WHO has in weeding out NGOs that are in fact front groups for private companies, from legitimate organizations working for a nonprofit purpose.
