Minister Valentino Achak Deng

This is a brief bit on Valentino Achak Deng, protagonist of the Dave Eggers semi-biographical novel What is the What.  It turns out that Mr. Deng's efforts to support education in his native South Sudan have evolved and deepened, to the point where he is now Education Minister for his home province.
