Development against a wall

Here is an article from Sonia Nazario arguing that, in order to stem massive migration from Central America, the US would do better to invest more in economic development and crime prevention programs in countries like Honduras, as opposed to building an expensive and ultimately ineffectual wall on the California-Texas border.
