Junk food: the Empire strikes back

A while ago I linked to an article about the rise in junk food and obesity in Brazil.  Here is another article, I believe in the same series, about efforts to reduce consumption of pop and other sugary drinks in Colombia, and the massive, violent reaction of junk food companies to resist these efforts.  It's pretty discouraging.  One cool personal link is that my wife's grocery company sells fresh produce to one of the anti-pop activists profiled in the article!
