The elements

Wool bundled boy
in frog-eyed cap,
grunting and mooing and growling

strokes buttress roots of an urapan tree,
all moss and lichen and symbiosis.

He turns towards me,
bright obsidian eyes,
flu-rubied cheeks,
skin of quartz white
framed by sun-streaked emerald ground.

  1. Good poem, Greg. Great use of color. "all moss and lichen and symbiosis" is wonderful.
