Here's an article on a garment factory in the Dominican Republic where workers earn three times the minimum wage, and are free to form unions. I would love to see this model promoted elsewhere, and I'm particularly surprised to learn that the higher wages only raise the cost of production by 20%.
Here's another article about a Michigan teenager that runs a vegetable CSA farm for her summer break. When there are so many people lamenting the loss of good eating habits in the US, it's great to see young people making our food culture better.
